Not long ago I noticed my kid would regularly get a cold or some sort of "bug" after a friend's birthday party.  In the past I chalked it up to kids just getting sick all the time because they're kids. One day I became intrigued by the idea of germs spreading on a birthday cake when the candles were blown out.  So I decided to search for any study that was done on this. 

I wasn't too surprised to find that a study had been done on it, but I was a little shocked at the magnitude of the increase in bacteria on the cake.  I thought about it a little bit and it struck me that compressed CO2 could be fit into a toy-like object and used for the purpose of extinguishing the fire on the candles just like you would use a regular CO2 fire extinguisher in your home.

I went to work and invented Wishlings and then quickly sought IP protection.  The Patent Pending design and technology of the Wishlings product allows for an infinite array of designs/skins to be used with the device.  Applications can range from animal themed toys, to signature characters like those of Disney, to novelty items like miniature fire extinguishers.

I made a mock up of the device and a friend tested it for the first time during his birthday party.  It was a smashing success!  The candles went out quickly and my friend (in his late 30's) smiled and chuckled throughout the experience.
